Occasionally we all wonder about the methods celebrities follow to make themselves look gorgeous.

How do they make their skin glow and look so full of life? Although you may not be followed by the paparazzi, you want skin care tips and to use skin care products that will make you look like your favorite star.

Be it oily skin or dry skin, we require moisturizers, wrinkle creams, cleansers, lotions and toners for the glowing skin we crave.  So what skin care tips and suggestions should we apply to look our best?

Read on, all will be revealed.

  1. Dig deep:  To take care of facial skin you need to go below the surface. Begin by getting rid of dead skin layers. This is no small matter as you will need to exfoliate on a daily basis. You need to get rid of dead skin cells as they end up making your skin look dry and dull and providing an unsuitable surface for make-up. No amount of lotion or cream will do this job for you. Natural products should be used in this cosmetic procedure as they are ideal for gentle exfoliation while chemicals can damage your skin.
  2. Shop around: Skin rejuvenation is not a one-size-fit all process. Most women in their thirties and beyond are concerned not only about maintaining their glow, but also worry about aging. For the tanned look opt for a self tanner that is fragrance free or smells good. It will penetrate the skin when applied. Important - Avoid the elbows, knees and heels when applying as they need to look natural and the self tan may end up darkening your joints.
  3. Keep it fresh: When you use a sunscreen get a fresh one every season as the older ones don’t work well and become less effective with time. Re-apply every one or two hours when tanning. When buying a sunscreen lotion always check out how many stars it has been awarded, this will do wonders for your pigmentation. The FDA has begun grading sunscreen products for consumer’s benefit, based on ultra violet rays which are responsible for skin damage. Consider applying the sunscreen to your lips as they too may get burnt.
  4. Remember your feet: Did you know that the most ravaged part of our body is our feet? Dead skin cells abound and they need to be removed. The main skin care tip for your feet is to wash daily and to scrub with a pumice stone at least three times a week as it is an excellent way to remove dead skin and keep dry skin soft. A specialist foot moisturizer is then recommended to keep the skin on your feet supple and moist.
  5. Keep it nutritious: Your dermis needs healthy nutrition to reach the pinnacle of its beauty. The more natural ingredients you apply to your skin the better.  For skin rejuvenation and firming you can use mixtures of olive oil, honey, egg white, avocado and oat and rice powder.  You will be amazed at the effect these natural ingredients will have.
