Irrespective of what time of the year it is when you go to Malta there will most probably be something there for you to see or do.
Here are 5 must see attractions for you when you are on your Malta Holiday.
One: The magnificent Grand Harbour. A trip to Malta is not perfect unless you visit the great Grand Harbour, and one of the finest ways to view it is from on board one of the many water taxis that you can get down at the waterfront complex in Valetta.
Two: The graceful silent city of Mdina. Throughout the day Mdina is quite nice to stroll around and has a lot of attractions and museums to view. If you fancy a small bit of ghost spotting, try rambling around in the evening, there you will find that the attractions and museums are closed, but it is still an impressive place to see.
You should also take a bit of time out of your agenda to call in on the Mdina experience, where you will discover the sights and sounds of the old capital city.
Three: The Popeye Village. Following the success over the years of the cartoon Popeye the spinach eating sailor, and his girl Olive Oil. The series was made into a feature length film starring Robin Williams and Shelly Duval.
The film set was built at Anchor Bay, and as well as just being an attraction to stroll around, there are other things available, such as a children’s world fun park, restaurant and traditional cultural exhibits.
Four: The Blue Lagoon. One of the, if not the most aesthetical places on the island of Comino to go for a swim is the Blue Lagoon. Although not really acknowledged a lot as a popular tourist spot, it has been seen a lot of times on screen in productions such as the mini series "Helen of Troy", "Swept Away" featuring Madonna and a lot of others.
The only regrettable thing about wanting to travel to the Blue Lagoon is you will not be able to make it there by yourself, unless you have a boat that is. However, there are numerous places on the island where you can get details of trips that can take you there. Just go into any tourist office or even a local hotel lobby and pick up a leaflet.
Five: The Knights Spectacular is a marvelous musical dinner show comprising of 50 very gifted performers and 8 tremendous horses. Throughout this great 2 hour show it epics the siege of 1565, with original music, spectacular costumes and a great love story as well.
